Military repels terrorists’ attacks on Borno community

Troops of the Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) in the Northeast have repelled terrorists’ multiple attacks on the Gajiram community in Borno State
The terrorists burst from the Gubio/Magumeri axis to target the military posts along the 135-km Maiduguri/Monguno road.

Confirming the incident, yesterday (Friday), in Maiduguri, the Sector 3, Civilian JTF leader, Modu Aisami disclosed that the terrorists attacked Gajiram in the early hours of Friday.”
He stated that the insurgents moved in a convoy of heavy gun trucks and motorcycles to attack the military and civilian posts along the road.
Besides; he added that an unconfirmed number of terrorists were also killed during the over an hour repulsion in Gajiram township.
He further disclosed that the ground and aerial repulsion, led to the neutralization of dozens of terrorists, while others escaped with gunshot wounds.
Aisami noted that the Tucano-fighter jet bombed the terrorists’ convoy of gun trucks, killing dozens of them, while others sustained injuries.
“Two gun trucks were sighted containing 12 terrorists,” he said; adding that some of them were injured with corpses littered in the Gambo Yakku axis in Gubio council.
He said that normalcy has been restored in the two Local Government Areas of the state.
