MNJTF Escalates Efforts to Stamp Out Boko Haram Remnants in Lake Chad Basin
In a bid to root out the lingering Boko Haram insurgents and ISWAP militants in specific areas across the Lake Chad basin, the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has ramped up its operations.
In a statement by the Chief of Military Public Information Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi said, residents residing in North East Nigeria and the Far North of Cameroon can anticipate an uptick in the presence of multinational troops and military equipment in the region.
This strategic escalation he said, aims to reinforce ongoing national initiatives and dismantle terrorist strongholds within the MNJTF’s designated Areas of Operations.

While the heightened military activities may be noticeable, the public is urged not to be alarmed by the increased troop movements but instead to extend their support to the forces. The MNJTF remains resolute in its mission to purge the Lake Chad basin of all terrorist elements, thereby fortifying the safety and security of the area and fostering a more stable environment for all inhabitants.
