Monarchs to join force with security operatives to fight crime in Taraba
Monarchs spread across Taraba State have resolved to join forces with security operatives to stamp out criminal activities from the state.
Promised to give the security operatives the much-desired cooperation, the Monarchs unanimously agreed to throw their weight in support of security personnel to ensure adequate protection of lives and property in their various domains.

The Monarchs led by the Emir of Muri, Abas Tafida Njidda, made the pledge in Takum local government council during a Christmas homage to the state governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku.
They admitted that the state security breaches were cursed by the lack of cooperation between the traditional institution and the security operatives around their territory.
They said for the much-needed peace to be achieved, all hands must be on deck, stressing that peace is the collective effort of every citizen, to ensure the desired development for the people.
“The Emir of Muri said security is the responsibility of everyone and that issues of security breaches in our areas are due to lack of cooperation.”

“We need to cooperate with the security operatives around us and report all strange movement to them so they can tackle them at their early existence,” said the Emir of Muri.
Visibly elated by the massive presence of the monarch in his country home, the governor beckoned on those in a position of authority to honour security personnel who have been working tirelessly to protect the Nigerian territory and her citizens.
