Northeast Star Magazine to honour Buratai with lifetime achievement award
Northeast Star Magazine has disclosed its decision to honour ex-Chief of Army Staff and Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai (Rtd.), with a lifetime achievement award in military leadership.
This was disclosed in a letter of notification signed by the Publisher of Northeast Star Magazine, Dr. Abubakar Mohammed on Monday, and addressed to Buratai.

The letter reads in part: “The Management and Editorial Board of the Northeast Star Magazine (www.northeaststarlive.com) here by notify you of its decision to award you with its prestigious LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD IN MILITARY LEADERSHIP 2021.
“This is because of His Excellency’s giant strides in military leadership which has strengthened the Army and the Nigerian military in general. His Excellency’s style of leadership has made a great impact on both officers and men, and infrastructure of the Army.

“His Excellency’s excellent rating in fiscal discipline and equity in the management of public resources made you imminently qualified to receive this award.”
The award presentation is scheduled to take place on the 20th of November, 2021 in Yola, Adamawa State.
