Yuletide: Yobe, NEDC support 204 vulnerable christian households in Gashua
Yobe State Government in collaboration with Northeast Development Commission (NEDC) has supported over 200 vulnerable Christian households in Gashua, headquarters of Bade Local Government Area with food items which includes Rice, Spaghetti and vegetable for the preparatory of the forthcoming Christmas and New Year celebration.

The distribution was in line with Governor Mai Mala Buni’s Christmas package aimed at supporting the vulnerable Christian households to enjoy a peaceful Christmas celebration. It was led by the Yobe State Focal Person/Coordinator NEDC, Dr Ali Ibrahim Abbas.
According to Abbas, the state government in collaboration with NEDC have reached about 633 vulnerable Christian households across 17 LGA’s of the state. “In Gashua Zone, over 200 households benefited from the Gov. Buni’s Support”.
The Gashua zone ceremony was witnessed by Sanda Kara Bade Chairman Bade LGA, Mr Babo Amshi, Zonal Stakeholder, Reverend Zakariah Hamman Uba, CAN Chairman Nguru, and his secretary, Reverend Idi Abba Sayo, CAN Chairman Bade and his Secretary, Elder Baba Musa.

Other Christian leaders at the Gashua occasion include Yakubu Hassan El Macheche, Youth CAN, Mama Rifkatu Othman, Rebecca Kwala Bitrus among other Christian leaders in the Zone.
The Yobe State government and NEDC appreciated stakeholders and beneficiaries of the Governor Buni Christmas’ Package that made the Potiskum zone programme a success.
