Buni reviews curfew by an hour in Yobe

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has reviewed the night curfew by an hour restricting human and vehicular movements in the state.
The curfew which commences from 11 pm to 6 am daily, is now being enforced from midnight to 6 am.
Special Adviser on Security to the Governor, Brig-Gen. Dahiru Abdulsalam, yesterday (Monday), in Damaturu, stated the scale down of curfew hours; followed an improvement in the security situation across the state.
“The new curfew time will now commence from 12.00 midnight, as against the usual 11 pm to 6 am,” he said.

He however noted that the curfew review does not affect movements from Local Government Areas to another.
Meanwhile, the existing restriction of movement through security checkpoints is still in force.
While Muslims, who wish to participate in the Tahajud prayer during Ramadan are free to do so.
Abdulsalam also advised security agencies to take note and adhere to the curfew hours.
