Female students stage protest over continuous robbery attacks in Rivers Varsity

Female students of Rivers State University took to the streets to stage a protest against the increasing incidents of robbery attacks on their hostels.
The protest was sparked by yet another brazen attack that occurred the previous night, during which robbers not only made off with valuable possessions but also reportedly subjected some female students to sexual assault.

The incident has further fueled the long-standing fear and unease among students who have been living under the looming threat of criminal activities within the university’s vicinity.
The students were seen holding up placards bearing various inscriptions, united in their call for the university’s management to take swift and decisive action to curb the rising spate of armed robberies and sexual assaults that have plagued their academic environment.
