Gov Bala Mohammed Appoints Umar Mohammed Shira as New MD of BRC
Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has appointed Umar Mohammed Shira as the new Managing Director of Bauchi Radio Corporation (BRC).
The announcement was contained in a press statement signed by Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, and made available to newsmen in Bauchi on Monday.
Governor Mohammed’s decision, according to the statement, reflects his confidence in Shira’s leadership capabilities, extensive experience, and dedication to the media and communications sector.
“As a seasoned professional with a proven track record in media management and broadcasting, Shira is well-equipped to reposition BRC for greater efficiency, professionalism, and public service excellence,” the statement read.
The Governor expressed optimism that the new MD will utilize his expertise to strengthen the corporation’s role as a credible platform for information, education, and entertainment, serving the people of Bauchi State and beyond.
The Bauchi State Government also called on all staff and stakeholders of BRC to support the new leadership in improving the station’s operations and service delivery.
