The Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on Students Engagement is set to host an International Stakeholders Dialogue in commemoration of the UN International Day of Education.
The event, which is themed “Education As A Tool For Intercontinental Development,” is scheduled to take place on the 24th of January 2024 at 10 am via Google Meet.
Hon. Comrade Sunday Asefon (GCNS), the Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on Students Engagement, will serve as the Chief Host for the event.
In a statement, the Technical Assistant on Communication in the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on Students Engagement, Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu, said the International Stakeholders Dialogue aims to bring together key players and decision-makers in the education sector from around the world to discuss the pivotal role of education in fostering intercontinental development.
As the world continues to face complex challenges, the dialogue seeks to explore how education can serve as a catalyst for progress and prosperity on a global scale.
The event will provide a platform for participants to engage in meaningful discussions, share insights, and exchange best practices related to education as a driver of intercontinental development.
It will also offer an opportunity for stakeholders to collaborate, form partnerships, and propose actionable strategies that can contribute to advancing education as a fundamental tool for fostering development across continents.
Nwachukwu stated further that, the dialogue will emphasize the importance of international cooperation and solidarity in addressing educational disparities and ensuring equal access to quality education for all, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4.
The statement called on educators, policymakers, representatives of international organizations, and stakeholders in the education sector to participate in this important dialogue, noting that, by harnessing the collective expertise and experiences of diverse stakeholders, the event will generate innovative solutions and recommendations that can drive positive change in the global education landscape.
