ONDO: Voters’ Apathy loom as market women vow not to participate in 2023 election
By Odunayo Odeja
Market women in the popular Oja-Oba market in Akure the Ondo state capital have vowed not to participate in the 2023 Elections.
The women made the vow as they shouted “No vote” during a PVC campaign in the market.
Citing reasons for their action, the market women said the economic situation in the country is unbearable and collection of PVC or participation in an election can not change it.
They cited unemployment, insecurity and the insensitivity of the Federal government as reasons for not participating in the coming election.
The women added that fuel scarcity in the state has grounded businesses which makes things difficult for ordinary Nigerians.
