Thugs injure five in Gombe PDP meeting

Five people were hurt in an attack on Alhaji Salisu Abdulaziz’s home in Gombe State, a pillar of the Peoples Democratic Party, on Saturday night.
Thugs broke into and dispersed a meeting that Abdulaziz had called at his home in the Jekadafari district of the Gombe metropolis.
He explained to the newsmen that the thugs assaulted men, youths, and women at the meeting.

He added, “The thugs vandalized my house, broke my gate and all electrical bulbs, as well as my windows; the police were quick to intervene and calm the situation.”
ASP Mahid Mu’azu Abubakar, the Gombe police spokesman, confirmed the incident and explained that at least five people were injured and were evacuated by the police to the hospital.
He stated that the case was still under investigation, saying that the police were yet to make any arrests.
